Com.：expiration 和maturity 均有到期的含义,区别在于expiration多指的是到期无效或期满结束,如on expiration of the lease,其表示租赁期限已满,租赁自此后将不再生效；而maturity则刚好相反,其多指到期或期满开始生效,如maturity of bill,其为汇票到期,指自此即可到银行予以兑现。同理,与它们相对应的动词expire 和mature也有此种区别。expiry的含义则等同expiration。但对于票据或证券而言,词组expiration date 则与maturity date 等同,均指到期应予支付的日期
